That’s not a bad thing, but there’s something else in the game that makes you question whether or not you should actually play another round after dying. This is the main reason a Post Void round can often last just a few seconds. You can only do so by killing enemies scattered throughout the level, who can also speed up your head’s leaking whenever they manage to shoot you. The head is constantly leaking, meaning that you will die if you don’t replenish it after just a few seconds. See the little head full of ooze featured in all of the screenshots? That’s actually your health meter. In Post Void, you don’t die with one hit, but that doesn’t mean it’s a breeze. Well, that’s to be expected in a game influenced by Devolver’s most famous IP, but Post Void does have some unique elements that make it stand out, although for all the wrong reasons. It’s a game meant to be replayed over and over again. There are only eleven levels in here, meaning that even the longest of runs will only last for a couple of minutes, tops. If you reach the end of a level you can choose a perk, like an extended health meter or a better gun. It’s a game in which a round can often last for a few dozen seconds, as you’ll die as quickly as you can run.
